​​​​​​​​​​​​​​1. How can STILC services assist me?

STILC services enable persons with disability to achieve, maintain or regain their independence through the use of mobility equipment, assistive devices and/or guidance as required. 

 
2. By whom are the STILC services provided?

STILC professionals are medical professionals, Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists trained in adaptive driving and/or specialised seating. The professionals carry out assessments in order to determine the clients’ needs and recommend services and bespoke seating solutions.
Driving Lessons are provided by driving instructors who have undergone specialised training in adaptive driving.


3. I already receive another service from Aġenzija Sapport. Can I also access STILC?

Yes, STILC services may be provided to existing Aġenzija Sapport service users. If you already receive a service from Agenzija Sapport, you can ask the professional who works with you to make a referral to STILC on your behalf. Alternatively, you may ask your GP, Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist to refer you. A medical background of your situation in the form of a medical report or hospital discharge note or case summary will enable us to understand your situation better. Please attach such supporting documentation with your application.


4. Who is eligible for the STILC services?

Children and adults with disability. 


5. I am a person with a disability. How will I be involved in the decisions taken about my needs if making use of STILC services?

The professionals providing services at STILC consult with each service user throughout the assessment period and service duration. 


6. I am concerned that my personal information is given to people that I do not know. What does STILC do with my personal data?

All information is processed and maintained in line with the General Data Protection Regulation and the Agency’s Data Protection Policy. 


7. Are STILC services free?

The assessments carried out at STILC are provided free of charge.
Driving Lessons incur a charge of Eur17 per hour of Eur 25 per 1.5 hours.


8. Are there any other associated services?

Ottobock, a specialised seating clinic that provides customised wheelchairs offer their services within the STILC building. For further information about a referral to their services one may contact us at STILC.


9. What do I need to do to benefit from STILC services?

Anyone requesting the services provided by STILC can make a self-referral. Alternatively a referral may be made by a medical professional, Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist. In all cases, a referral form found on our website is to be filled in and sent to us via email​ or by conventional mail. A medical background of your situation in the form of a medical report or hospital discharge note or case summary will enable us to understand your situation better. Please attach such supporting documentation with your application.
