Webinar 1: Bridging the Learning Gap using Clicker 8

The Access to Communication & Technology Unit in collaboration with Cricksoft and Mompalao Trading Ltd hosted another free webinar focusing on using Clicker to bridge potential learning gaps created during the COVID-19 school closures. Clicker 8 is the child-friendly word processor that is already being used in hundreds of schools across Malta to support pupils with barriers to literacy. Students with SEN have been disproportionally affected by COVID lockdowns – Clicker can help those who have fallen further behind, and can also increase the attainment of a whole cohort who are behind expectations for their age.

Find out how Clicker enables you to:
  • View rich data on each child’s writing process to identify the best next steps and supports to help them progress.
  • Give struggling and reluctant writers the tools they need to work more independently.
  • Provide a consistent level of literacy support whether children are working at home or at school.
  • Save hours of lesson preparation time with LearningGrids – our bank of ready-made curriculum resources that are accessible for a wide range of abilities.
  • Help pupils regain their confidence and enjoyment in learning.

Speakers: Phil Hackett (International Business Manager) and Katie Fitch (Educational Consultant)

Target Audience: Educators, Psychologists, Speech and Language Therapists; Occupational Therapists, carers, parents.

This was the first webinar out of a series of 3 webinars which shall be held throughout this year.
