FAQs - NGO Service

1. Who is eligible for respite services?

Individuals under 60 years of age who have a registered disability are eligible for the respite services.


2. How can I be referred / refer my relative, for respite services?

Individuals who would like to benefit from respite services can refer themselves either through the Agency’s Assessement and Intervention team by calling on helpline 153 (and press 5) or the NGO service directly.  The individual will be placed on a respite referral waiting list and will guided accordingly.


3. Who is eligible for a residential placement?

Individuals under 60 years of age who have a registered disability are eligible for a residential placement.


4. How can I be referred / refer my relative, for a residential placement?

Individuals who require a residential placement can refer themselves either through the Agency’s Assessment and Intervention team or through the NGO service directly. 
The individual will be placed either on the ‘Residential Waiting List’ or on the ‘Projection List’. ​
