Reviews of situations are held according to need and have two main objectives:
  • to evaluate the service provided throughout the previous months to examine its effectiveness as well as the service user's satisfaction;
  • to re-assess the service user's needs with the person him/herself, and thus plan with them the service strategy for the following months.
The presence and participation of the service user in such reviews is considered paramount. The service user is also free to identify any significant others who they may wish to invite to attend and contribute. Social Workers also attend reviews which are organised by other service providers that the individual service user may be in contact with, should it be the wish of the individual. The aim behind their presence is to support the service user and advocate for their needs when so required.
