This service provides individuals with physical impairments the opportunity to access tailored professional assessments, training, and expert consultation on vehicle adaptations and modifications, thereby supporting their autonomy and enabling them to live more independently.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Adaptive Driving Clinic is delivered through a collaboration between A\u0121enzija Sapport and the Allied Health Directorate within the Health authorities. It is the only service in Malta offering specialised assessments for individuals with disabilities seeking to drive, thereby advancing accessibility, inclusion, and autonomy.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The clinic enables independent living and community participation by assessing functional capacity, recommending vehicle adaptations, and supporting individuals throughout their journey toward independent driving. These services promote social inclusion and self-determination, reducing reliance on caregivers.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The initiative adopts an innovative, person-centred model, integrating assessment, training, and practical driving solutions under one national service.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h6><strong>Voting has now been closed. He has played a central role in the development and implementation of several national strategies aimed at promoting the rights, dignity, and autonomy of persons with disabilities. His leadership challenged traditional institutional models, driving a national shift towards deinstitutionalisation and inclusive, community-based support structures.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>By fostering a forward-thinking and rights-based agenda, Mr. Scicluna was instrumental in reshaping service provision to focus on personal autonomy and meaningful inclusion.
