All assessments are conducted by a specialised team of Occupational Therapists, who bring expertise in evaluating functional and cognitive abilities, accessibility needs, and driving skills.

The aim is to promote autonomy, mobility, and participation in community life for persons with disabilities, empowering them to travel confidently and independently. The Adaptive Driving Clinic reflects Aġenzija Sapport’s commitment to inclusion and equality, making driving accessible to all.

Ottobock Malta Clinic

Ottobock Healthcare PLC provides specialised seating assessments for persons with disabilities in Malta and also offers clinical assessments for highly customised wheelchair and seating solutions. This is done through an agreement between Aġenzija Sapport and Ottobock Healthcare PLC which also incorporates the support and manufacture of bespoke seating for use within a wheelchair and the provision of wheelchair products as required by persons with disability, based on the provision of the said assessments.

The purchasing of the wheelchair and seating solutions is done through an agreement directly between Ottobock and the respective client.

The Clinical Assessment Process

Upon receiving a new referral, Ottobock will initially provide an online consultation with the client (free of charge) and subsequently provides an estimate quote for the recommended wheelchair and seating solution to the client. This initial quote is for guidance and estimates purposes only.

If the prospective client decides to proceed, a face-to-face assessment is held at Sonia Tanti Independent Living Centre (STILC) with the Ottobock Clinical Team during their planned services in Malta. A fifty euro (€50) non-refundable fee is charged for this assessment. This fee is paid to Aġenzija Sapport through an online payment link which is forwarded to the client via email by the administration team at STILC.
