Aġenzija Sapport facilitates workshops for adults who have a sibling with a disability.

 

The workshop, gives the opportunity to siblings of persons with disability to share their experiences and feelings. Th​e agenda of these sessions includes imparting information regarding various topics of interest related to disability.​

AIM

The aim of this group is to provide time and opportunity for adult siblings to express their experiences and feelings, thus learning from each other’s experiences. A number of topics are covered and even guest speakers are invited to provide more knowledge on the topic.

 

Some of the topics that are covered are:

  • Introduction and getting to know each other
  • The sibling within the community
  • Growing up, family roles, the effect of the disability and family dynamics
  • Personal life choices and decision making
  • Self-care and self-proclamation

 

These groups are free of charge and are led by professionals. 

HOW TO APPLY

Those interested in applying for the workshop may fill in the application form electronically, download the application and submit it via email, by hand or by post at address below.

 

Sessions will start once a group is formed, and applicants will be contacted.
