A supportive space for fathers to connect, share experiences and support one another.
AIM
This support group aims to provide a safe and supportive space for fathers of children with a disability to share their experiences, challenges, and successes.
We believe that through open and honest discussion, we can support each other in navigating the complexities of fatherhood and personal development.
The Fathers’ Support Group is different from the Fathers’ Workshops that are also provided by Aġenzija Sapport, in the sense that there will be no set agenda. The agenda is set by the participants, focusing on current issues they would be facing.
The Fathers’ Support Group will:
- Create opportunities for mutual encouragement, understanding, and peer support.
- Foster open and honest discussions that help participants navigate the complexities of fatherhood.
- Support fathers in their personal growth and development.
- Encourage learning through the sharing of experiences, perspectives, and practical insights.
- Offer a participant-led approach, where discussions are guided by the fathers’ current needs and concerns.
- Address real-life issues and challenges that participants are facing at the time of each session.
- Build a sense of community and connection among fathers through ongoing dialogue and shared experiences.
These groups are free of charge and are led by professionals.
